Ministries of Vietnam like the Ministry of Construction (MoC), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) have agreed with the support of the World Bank – Water and Sanitation Program, East Asia& the Pacific (WSP- EAP) and Consultants like the Vietnamese Water and Sewerage Association ( VWSA) and others, that what's needed now is a Unified Sanitation Sector Strategy - as well as an Action Plan to be developed in order to meet the demand. The unified approach will draw together guidance for rural, urban and peri-urban areas, as well as for small towns, agriculture and industry.
