Mr. Quyen conveyed his warm congratulations to the newly-elected President and General Secretary of PERPAMSI and wished them a successful term. He also mentioned the fact that PERPAMSI was one of the first founding members of SEAWUN.
With the support of PERPAMSI, Indonesian water utilities have involved in many activities of SEAWUN under the Benchmarking, Full Cost Recovery, Non revenue Water Reduction and Training Programs of SEAWUN. Most recently, PERPAMSI successfully hosted the very important workshop on Strengthening Professional Water Associations in Southeast Asia. However, since SEAWUN establishment, there has not been good progress in membership development in Indonesia. SEAWUN Executive Director expressed his wish that the number of SEAWUN in Indonesia will be increased, desirably to 20-30 by the end of this year with the assistance of PERPAMSI in promotion activities in the country.
PERPAMSI leadership appreciated the efforts and progressives made by SEAWUN and committed to participate fully in SEAWUN activities and support SEAWUN more and more in the coming time.
