The South East Asian Water Utilities Network , The Department of Housing and Urban Planning, Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Lao PDR, and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) co-operate in organizing the Leadership Forum on Water Supply and Sanitation on 27-28 October 2008, in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR.

The objective of the workshop is to learn from the examples of bold sectoral reforms and successful utilities, understand the process of change, the key ingredients of their success and discuss ways to replicate their experience across utilities in the region.

Over the two day period, participants will (i) better understand key ingredients to successful utility operation including notable institutional reforms; (ii) indentify strategies for replicating experiences of successful utilities; (iii) agree on guilines for the development of action plans and programs towards improving overall service delivery.
